Giving

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Giving at Salt House

GOD IS GENEROUS WITH US AND WE RESPOND BY INTENTIONALLY LIVING GENEROUS LIVES. BELOW ARE THE METHODS WE'VE SET UP FOR GIVING AT SALT HOUSE.

YOUR GIVING HAS HUGE IMPACT

There are several ways your giving impacts the Salt House community and our region beyond our walls.
GENERAL FUND
Your gift supports the vibrant life of this congregation, it's ministry programs, operations, staff salaries, and benevolence (we give away 10% of our income - like a tithe).
REPARATIONS FUND
(10% of Benevolence)
This fund is specifically for reparations for BIPOC individuals. The fund is allocated for distribution on a scheduled, bi-annual basis and overseen by a board of directors.
QUEER BENEVOLENCE FUND
(10% of Benevolence)
This is a benevolence fund  supporting ministries and activities that celebrate and empower Queer people of faith, particularly those who have been rejected by their faith communities.
COMMUNITY INITIATIVES
(Restricted Fund)
Donations to this fund are set aside for non-ministry investments in our community (i.e., restricted fund). Donations may be matched by employers.

Bonus Method #1: Employer Matching for Microsoft Employees

Microsoft will match gifts designated to Salt House Community Initiatives. These funds support outreach programs including supportive services to the surrounding Rose Hill community, disaster relief, and direct support for those who are experiencing homelessness. We currently support the work of the New Bethlehem Day Center with these funds.

You can donate via the Online Giving tool directly or, if you first give to Salt House and wish to have it matched by Microsoft, please indicate on your gift that the money is restricted to the Community Initiatives fund to ensure proper accounting.

Bonus Method #2: Gifting Stock to Salt House Church

One of the easiest ways to give to Salt House Church is by gifting stock, which has considerable tax-advantages, especially if you have realized capital gains on your original investment.
You will need to consult your tax adviser or investment adviser for advice specific to your financial situation. However, the document linked below will provide you with an overview of how it works.
