Special guest speaker Mikah Meyer shars a beautiful story of adventure in the wilderness. Mikah is a storyteller, musician, and avid outdoor enthusiast. He’s also openly gay and a dedicated advocate of the LGBTQIA+ community. He will share with us a film he made called Canyon Chorus about the power of friendship, openness, and knowing oneself all set against the backdrop of the desolate wilderness. As a child, Mikah believed he could never have a successful life AND be publicly out and gay. And then he had an experience that helped him understand the power, openness, and vulnerability within the queer community...and within himself. It’s a beautiful story!
